Project completion: All 21 sliding roof windows successfully installed

With the final installation, the construction project in the Sphinxkwartier in Maastricht is now fully complete. A total of 21 large-format, two-panel OpenAir sliding roof windows (300 x 600 cm) were successfully manufactured, delivered, and professionally installed.

These modern sliding roof windows not only maximize natural light but also significantly enhance the building’s architectural appeal. Of particular note are the delicate, decorative muntins in the glass, which were deliberately chosen to preserve the historic industrial character of the Sphinx Quarter while incorporating modern window technology.

By combining:

· Triple-pane glass (high thermal insulation)
· Solar control glass
· Integrated exterior shading

This results in energy-efficient solutions that meet the demands of modern architecture as well as the requirements of historic preservation and design.
Sliding roof windows: a blend of history and modernity

The project in the Sphinxkwartier is a striking example of how sliding roof windows can be used as an architectural element to modernize historic buildings in a sustainable way.

The large openings create a unique sense of space and provide a direct connection between the interior and the outdoors.

With the successful completion of all three installation phases, another showcase project has been completed, underscoring the performance capabilities of modern sliding roof windows in the demanding field of building renovation.
